In addition to our ongoing Ashram Immersion Program, we also offer special programs, workshops, and seminars throughout the year on a variety of practical and philosophical topics related to yoga meditation.

Beginning, Refining, and Advancing in your Yoga Meditation Practices

The focus on preparing, supporting and deepening the practice of meditation, which is the core teaching of the Himalayan Tradition, remains the primary objective. All the aspects of the vast science that is yoga are seen in an integrated manner, all of them supporting our personal meditation practice. These special retreats including the following are offered from time to time:

  1. Meditation and its Practice
  2. Hatha Yoga
  3. Pranayama
  4. Yoga Nidra
  5. Guided Silence Retreat

Study of Ancient Scriptures

We believe in studying the ancient spiritual texts, and their languages, not only as mere works of philosophical theory, but also as guidelines of how to lead a spiritual life. Our study of the ancient scriptures thus emphasizes on the application of this knowledge in day-to-day life.

The Tradition aims at helping the student in revealing the meaning of those texts through their practice of meditation and their progress on the path of spirituality. For example, the Vedanta is not taught only as a text of doctrine but as the basis of Vedantic meditation, the practice of nididhyasana (the Vedantic system of contemplation). The texts are taught so that they may be understood by the students/disciples as being led through those levels of spiritual experience.

Therefore, a study of the scriptures must be approached within the light of the (A) spiritual experiences from which they have originated and (B) which they describe in the guise of philosophical traditions.

In the past, we have offered programs on many ancient texts and scriptures including –

  1. Bhagavad Gita,
