Swami Rama Dhyana Gurukulam (SRDG) offers study of traditional ancient teachings of the Himalayan tradition that have perpetuated since the Vedic times. The Gurukulam was established in 2003 by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Veda Bharati with the vision of passing on the ancient teachings of the Himalayan Masters in their purest form to the next generation of aspirants.

The Gurukulam, literally, the Guru’s Family envisages personal spiritual experience to be the foundation of all education in every area of learning. As such the program has been developed to train and mentor aspirants so that these teachings would permeate the whole of their lives.

Our goal is to prepare citizens who hold a personal spiritual philosophy of life based on their own practical learnings and meditative experiences and will translate it into all areas of their life in the world.

The one-year residential intensive program in the Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition will allow a student to systematically learn the spiritual sciences within a practical framework so that these teachings may be useful for them towards self-transformation. The emphasis is on creating a foundation of spiritual values upon which they may build their future in the world.
