Swami Ritavan extends his personal invitations to all members of the Guru family. \nIt would be lovely to receive your beautiful presence at the ashram for this once in three years event. Do remember to mark your calendars and plan to come to Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Ashram in Rishikesh between 1-10 March\, 2026 for another inspiring and transformative immersion into the timeless teachings of the Himalayan Masters. \nInvitation from Swami Ritavan Bharati:\n“I would like to extend again the invitation to continue living in the vasudeva principle\, the principle of the in-dweller\, the single in-dwelling deity\, the in-dwelling force.”  – Swami Veda Bharati \nWith overflowing joy and profound gratitude\, we extend a heartfelt invitation to our worldwide sangha to our next Sangha Gathering in 2026. Our theme for 2026-29 will be “vasudeva sarvam”—That indwelling One is All. There is no other in relation-to\, or conditioned-by. \nOne of the many ways the word “Vasudeva” is translated in Bhagavad-gita is the “indwelling deity.” This is closely related to the word “vasu\,” meaning “all places\,” for all places are dwelling places of divinity. Vasu is also the “hamsa”\, that swan of the universal prana dwelling every-where in every-thing. “Vasu-mana” is also one of the thousand names of the Divine. Vasu-mana means beautiful mind\, a mind that dwells as light in Being\, and therefore\, Vasu is the beautiful\, light-filled\, indwelling force. \nMay your mind be vasu-mana\, not this “me”\, this little individuated mind\, but mind as it is linked to the minds of the whole universe. One mind-wave meeting another mind-wave in this oceanic-wave-field\, and the two become one. When your individual mind touches that universal mind\, “samasthi-chitta”\, the senses of time and space dissolve. There is a force that acts through the force-field called “mind”\, where space and time cease and some other force flows. This is the “Guru-force”. \nWhen we live by the in-dweller principle\, we know that spirit in all beings is one.  We must not be satisfied by merely speaking of it superficially.  We must live by it in our relationships with all beings. \nThe 2026 Sangha Gathering would be an opportunity to learn to allow all your acts to be acts of compassion onto all living beings. Learn to recognise the oneness of the in-dwelling spirit within ourselves and within all living beings. Quite often we get fearful of the other\, we get angry at the other and we get defensive in front of the other. Who is fearful of whom? Who is angry at whom? Who needs to defend whom against whom? We are not there yet\, let’s embark on this journey together. \nSwamiji says\, “[Learn to] cultivate a sweet sentiment. It is not an act of compassion\, nor is it a repression; it is an act of cultivating a beautiful sentiment.  For if the in-dwelling spirit is one\, at whom am I being angry?  Ask yourself that question\, and that would help you to overcome the strong urge towards violence.” \nWe pursue relationships for pleasure\, fulfillment and security\, regardless of the nature of the relationship. The ‘Vasudeva principle’ is an invitation towards conquest of the urge to use other living beings for your pleasure. Conquest of the urge to use others as your safety valves.  Both are violations of the principle of the one\, indwelling spirit.  Not only that\, but you are then seeing every living being as your kith and kin – lovable. So when you come upon an ant or a bug\, know the oneness of the in-dwelling spirit.  Let your heart be filled with love and compassion. \nThis oneness being within us all\, I hope to see all members of the Guru’s family at the same place\, at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama\, at the same time\, from March 1 – 10\, 2026. \n\nEditor’s Note:\nSwami Veda Bharati has often emphasised the ‘Vasudeva Principle’ to the global sangha as 40-days and yearly practices. In 2026\, Swami Ritavan Bharati will give a new sangha practice to the worldwide community\, in line with the ‘Vasudeva Principle’. \nApart from teachings on the theme of the gathering—Vasudeva Principle\, there will be opportunity for personal guidance\, silence\, community and personal fire offerings\, a pilgrimage to an ancient temple\, presentations on SRSG and AHYMSIN activities\, and to attend classes with senior teachers and initiators. \nSpaces for the Sangha Gathering are limited. SUMMARY:Navaratri Retreat – Cultivating the Divine Feminine
DESCRIPTION:During the sacred days of Navaratri (the nine nights)\, we will have Devi-Puja with akhanda (24 hours non-stop) recitation of the Lalita-sahasra-nama (Thousand Names of Divine Mother). One may come and join the daily morning and evening pujas\, join the recitation of the Lalita-sahasra-nama. Twelve priests preside over the pujas and the recitations\, which are offered both at the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama and Sadhana Mandir Ashram. \nOur beloved Swami Veda Bharati has said\, “These events are charged with special spiritual energy and a very special time to renew your silence and sadhana.” \nIn this special retreat with Rabindra Sahu\, we will be learning about the principles of the Divine Feminine within the Nature and the entire Universe around us. Swamiji has also reminded us “to bring the feminine kindness\, compassion\, motherliness among all of us. This has nothing to do with the gender of the person undertaking the observance but rather it is for the enhancement of the motherliness in all of us.” \nWe will thereby learn how can we cultivate these divine feminine qualities within ourselves. All the participants will also get an opportunity to practice recitation of the Lalita-sahasra-nama.

SUMMARY:International Yoga Day 2026 Hybrid Retreat
DESCRIPTION:An Invitation for a Virtual Sangha Retreat\nOn 21st June 2026 we will celebrate the 12th International Yoga Day. \n \nSince its inception in 2015\, following the proposal of the Prime Minister of India\, Shri Narendra Modi\, International Yoga Day has received immense popularity globally. The resolution was adopted by 175 countries\, reflecting the growing recognition of yoga as a holistic science of living that is both relevant and valuable in the present times. \nOur beloved Swami Veda Bharati was observing a five-year vow of silence at the time\, but he made a rare exception to speak on this important occasion for India’s national television broadcaster\, Doordarshan. You may watch this interview on YouTube. \nAbout the International Yoga Day\, Swami Veda has said\, \n“On such a day\, all those who follow the inner spiritual core of yoga in their quest\, in whichever branch of spiritual yoga\, they need to get together to share their inner experiences\, contemplate on their advancement in the quest\, and be in a mode of deep inner silence. \nOn this day\, let all those who adhere to the ancient systems of yoga as taught by the rishis gather and meditate together. Meditate with body\, mind and spirit.” \nThe day is also marked as Summer Solstice\, the longest day of the year. \nIn the message on the International Yoga Day\, our Spiritual Guide and Ashram Pramukha\, Swami Ritavan Bharati reminded us of the true meaning of yoga as silence and stillness of the inner Self: \n“Yoga unites everybody in silence and meditation. Yoga is a tradition of discovering the inner serene silence. Yoga is not a system of physical movement. It is a system of silence and stillness from which the movement expresses itself. They remember this day and celebrate it by becoming aware the purpose of life is to attain enlightenment; the state of mind\, internal state\, that makes one free from all pains and miseries.” – Swami Rama \nOn the sacred occasion of the Guru Purnima\, a 9-day celebration is held annually at the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG) Ashram in Rishikesh. This includes akhanda-patha (24-hour non-stop recitation) of the Guru-Gita\, the Song to the Guru\, preceding the Guru Purnima Day. The akhanda-patha of the Guru-Gita is offered both at the SRSG and the Sadhana Mandir Ashram by 11 Pandits each.  This special celebration is a reminder for us to pay our homage to the Guru Lineage that has bestowed upon us the great blessings of mantra\, meditation\, initiation and the teachings of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition. This way we also recommit ourselves to our practices. \nThis year\, the Guru Purnima is celebrated on 29 July 2026. The Guru Purnima Retreat will be organised at SRSG from 21 July – 29 July 2026.

At the end of the retreat each person will have a suite of movement practices and a mini Wudang Mountain Tai Chi form that they can use as they see fit\, integrated into their daily life\, or simply as an experience to help build insight into the practices they already have. \nQigong: The qigong that we will practice is a deeply healing and energetically balancing style of qigong that has its origins in the Shaolin temples and Daoist masters of the mountains of Central China. At the end of the retreat each participant will have a number of valuable tools to add to their toolbox for managing stress\, building energetic resilience\, and cultivating a healthier\, more balanced\, body\, mind\, and spirit. \nBiofeedback (Daniel):\nA few talks will be offered to explain the concepts of biofeedback. The focus would be on individual\, one on one\, private sessions with Daniel for all the participants. \nBiofeedback is well-recognised as a powerful\, non-invasive\, and relatively simple way to measure subtle changes in the emotional and physiological state in order to increase self awareness and support the process of leaning self-regulation. Daniel will be using state of the art research/clinical grade biofeedback equipment (and training techniques) to measure HRV (Heart Rate Variability) to determine RFB (Resonant Frequency Breathing)\, the ideal breathing rate that will most quickly balance the autonomic nervous system. A typical session will use a heart rate sensor and a respiration belt. Participants will be guided through a series of Yoga and Meditation breathing exercises in order to determine the optimal RFB for that individual. Time permitting\, other biofeedback modalities may be measured\, such as muscle tension\, skin temperature\, or skin conductance.

One may come and join the daily morning and evening pujas\, join the recitation of the Lalita-sahasra-nama. Twelve priests preside over the pujas and the recitations\, which are offered both at the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama and Sadhana Mandir Ashram. \nOur beloved Swami Veda Bharati has said\, “These events are charged with special spiritual energy and a very special time to renew your silence and sadhana.” \nIn this special retreat with Rabindra Sahu\, we will be learning about the principles of the Divine Feminine within the Nature and the entire Universe around us. To that beautiful and benevolent Guru who is Brahmā\, the Creator\, Viṣṇu\, the Maintainer\, and Śiva\, the Great Lord through whom all things return to their origin. To that Guru who is the direct experience of Brahman\, salutations. \n“This day\, the day of Guru Purnima is considered to be the holiest day for the students of life; for those that have been treading the path of light; for those aspiring to attain enlightenment in this lifetime. They remember this day and celebrate it by becoming aware the purpose of life is to attain enlightenment; the state of mind\, internal state\, that makes one free from all pains and miseries.” – Swami Rama \nOn the sacred occasion of the Guru Purnima\, a 9-day celebration is held annually at the Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG) Ashram in Rishikesh. This includes akhanda-patha (24-hour non-stop recitation) of the Guru-Gita\, the Song to the Guru\, preceding the Guru Purnima Day. The akhanda-patha of the Guru-Gita is offered both at the SRSG and the Sadhana Mandir Ashram by 11 Pandits each.  This special celebration is a reminder for us to pay our homage to the Guru Lineage that has bestowed upon us the great blessings of mantra\, meditation\, initiation and the teachings of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition. This way we also recommit ourselves to our practices. \nThis year\, the Guru Purnima is celebrated on 29 July 2026. The Guru Purnima Retreat will be organised at SRSG from 21 July – 29 July 2026.
